Board of Trustees
A board of trustees of up to 26 members governs GCAC. The board's eight standing committees directly involve trustees in all aspects of GCAC's programs.
Since 1973, over 150 community members have served in this capacity. Board members are chosen for their visibility in the community, their experience with cultural and civic organizations, and their representation of the cultural, racial, and geographic diversity of our community.
GCAC has an aggressive policy on board rotation, and encourages new trustees to lend their experience in as many areas as possible. Trustees continuing their service are challenged to mentor a board that embraces new input while maintaining a consistent vision, with a clear focus. The dedication of our trustees encourages GCAC and its constituent organizations to strive for excellence, and to give every person in the community a chance to experience and appreciate the arts and culture.
