ArtZine
In 2004, WOSU Television Stations and the Greater Columbus Arts Council agreed to collaborate in a partnership designed to develop a greater appreciation of the cultural opportunities available in central Ohio.
This unique partnership has created ArtZine, a television program that showcases local arts and cultural organizations and the cultural quality of life they provide to central Ohio. The monthly half hour program follows a magazine format and was officially launched in April 2005 on the WOSU stations. In addition to the added exposure each of the participating arts and cultural organizations receive, they also have the opportunity to access all raw and finished video footage of their organization for their own promotional uses.
The joint project employs three positions at WOSU.TV — two arts producers and a student intern — to create a cultural arts production team, focusing primarily on producing programs in the areas of performance, documentary and community profiles.
