GCAC’s Community Arts Education Program provides programs, information, education and hands-on opportunities for the benefit of young people and professional educators in Columbus. Thanks to the Franklin County Board of Commissioners for supporting our educational programming.

Artists-in-Schools

In 2008, 639 Arists-in-Schools activities were conducted, reaching a total audience of 96,125 people and featuring artists in K-12 schools and non-school venues. The Columbus City Schools scheduled 78 of these activities for a total of 13,508 CCS students. Additionally, 12,119 people attended Artists-in-Schools activities in non-school venues

GCAC held the annual Artists Preview Night, a showcase of Artists-in-Schools artists, on Tuesday, September 16, at Veteran’s Memorial. An estimated 200 educators, administrators, artists, students, parents and others attended.
