As assistant to the president, Anja supports in all administrative areas. Additionally, she is involved in grant-writing activities for art exhibition proposals and also manages GCAC's international artist exchange residencies. Concurrently, Anja works as Patron Services & Events supervisor at the Wexner Center for the Arts, where she provides assistance to visitors and is responsible for the management and safety of the Wexner's multidisciplinary events and spaces. Additionally, she gives interactive exhibition tours and facilitates educational workshops for people of all ages.
A German native, Anja has lived in English-speaking countries for the past 21 years. In England, she received a bachelor of fine arts from Middlesex University London as well as a master of arts in fine art printmaking from Camberwell College of Arts London. In 1998, she moved to the United States, where she completed a master of arts in mixed media at Marshall University, West Virginia, and then earned a master of fine arts from The Ohio State University. Anja is the recipient of various awards, most recently an Individual Creativity Excellence Award from the Ohio Arts Council. She has exhibited her artwork internationally, and is currently making new work for an upcoming show in Berlin, Germany.
