Paula Menhenett

Vice President, Finance & Administration

As vice president of Finance & Administration, Paula manages GCAC's accounting and technology systems, human resources, benefits and the preparation of budgets and financial statements. She also supervises the donation program.

Prior to 1985, Paula lived in London, England for thirteen years. During that time she exported English and French antiques to America, opened two shops selling imported English merchandise in New York and operated an art glass shade manufacturing company.

After returning to Columbus, her hometown, and working in the corporate world for over three years, Paula joined GCAC in 1989. Her business and corporate experience has helped to stabilize and improve GCAC's management and technology systems. She has a life long interest in the arts and enjoys the challenge of balancing the mission with the bottom line.

Paula has been a key player in the development and execution of all major GCAC projects over the past decade, including the creation of www.ColumbusArts.com, the establishment of GCAC's highly successful arts education programs Children of the Future and Artists-in-Schools, and the management of the Columbus Arts Stabilization project, which raised over $7 million in private funding for local cultural organizations.

On GCAC's behalf in 2008, Paula applied for and received the Standards of Excellence Award from the Ohio Association of Nonprofit Organizations and received the Better Business Bureau Standards for Charitable Accountability.  Paula is currently serving on the Ohio Association of Nonprofit Organizations' Standards of Excellence Advisory Committee.
