As Program Director for Community Arts Education, Tim manages the Artists-in-Schools and Children of the Future programs, ongoing arts-in-education research projects, administration of the Franklin County Neighborhood Arts grants program, management of an online arts education provider directory, ARTS CLASSifieds, the Children's Area of the Columbus Arts Festival, and community outreach initiatives.
Prior to joining GCAC in 1997, Tim served as a United States Peace Corps volunteer from 1984 to 1987 in Ghana, West Africa. He also worked for 18 months as the short course coordinator for the Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok, Thailand, and as a training consultant for the US Peace Corps for two years in South Carolina and one year in northern Gabon, West Africa. From 1993 to 1997, Tim was the home office technical manager of a private consulting company specializing in international development projects.
Tim earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Dayton in 1981 and a Master of Arts degree from Auburn University in aquaculture.
