As festival and events coordinator Sean is responsible for the planning, organization and execution of the Columbus Arts Festival. He also helps with financial tracking and marketing for the Festival as well as assisting with various events hosted by the Greater Columbus Arts Council.
Prior to joining the Columbus Arts Festival team Sean was with the Grants & Services team where his primary function was to assist arts and culture organizations with funding and informational issues and execute the administrative functions for the Grants & Services department.
Sean was named a Next Generation of Leaders fellow, Class of 2014. Sean received his bachelor of fine arts in dance from The Ohio State University while dancing as a founding company member at Columbus Dance Theatre. Upon graduating from OSU, Sean danced with Chicago Ballet and Molly Shanahan/Mad Shak Dance Company in Chicago. After 20 dancing, he shifted his focus to arts administration and became the managing assistant director for Columbus Dance Theatre in 2008, where his professional career began. In 2010, Sean took on the role of managing director where he remained until Spring of 2014.
