Collins considers himself to be a mixed media artist, working in a variety of materials and techniques. His past works include drawings, mixed media paintings and sculptures, collage, and printmaking. Collins sometimes combines various disciplines to create a technique he refers to as “Art Fusion.”

“From what I remember of my trip to Dresden is it being a true adventure. This was my first time in Europe and my first time traveling overseas alone. I remember the folks at the Kunsthaus Raskolnikoff being especially nice. I met some great German artist friends and took trips to Berlin, Leipzig, and a porcelain factory in Meissen. I was able to produce a series of large drawings and some small relief paintings. My fellowship was a truly rewarding experience.”
