Artist Information

Laura Bidwa was born in Long Beach, California. She earned a BFA in Painting from Indiana University and an MFA in Painting and Drawing from the Ohio State University. She is the recipient of many fellowships and grants including an Edith Fergus Gilmore Materials Grant, a Greater Columbus Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship, an Ohio Arts Council Professional Development Award, and several national and international residencies. A Columbus resident since 1994, Bidwa is represented by Hammond Harkins Galleries. Her work has been shown in numerous gallery and museum exhibitions in the United States and Germany, as well as at art fairs in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, including Aqua Art Miami, ScopeMiami, ScopeNY, Art(212), and ArtLA.
