Laura Bidwa was born in Long Beach, Ca. She received her BFA in Painting from Indiana University and her MFA in Painting and Drawing from Ohio State University. Laura has lived, worked, and shown her paintings in Bloomington, Ind.; Charleston, S.C.; Raleigh, N.C.; Dresden, Germany; and Columbus. Fellowships and grants include an Edith Fergus Gilmore Materials Grant, a Greater Columbus Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship, and an Ohio Arts Council Professional Development Award. She has lived in Columbus since 1994. Laura's four pieces - To Shine, I See it Coming, In This World and Some People Say - are arboreal landscapes made of delicate marks on solid backgrounds of gold. They indicate Laura's interest in Chinese ink paintings, lightly treading between realism and abstraction.
Originally from western New York, Linda Langhorst received both a Bachelor and a Master of Science in agriculture at Ohio State University. She lives in Upper Arlington with her husband and three sons, where she works from her home studio. Linda's work is exhibited in many private and corporate collections in New York, Minnesota, Florida, Colorado, Indiana and Ohio. She works primarily in oil paintings and drawings. Linda's work is symbolic of the connectivity of life, woven from realistic imagery, depicting both man-made and natural materials. Her drawing, Nest Builders, features two hands holding an empty nest.
Though she currently lives in Columbus, Boryana Rusenova is originally from Bulgaria. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Columbus College of Art and Design in May 2006. While at CCAD, Boryana focused primarily on painting. Before and after her graduation, Boryana has shown her work consistently and volunteered her time to the Columbus art community. She is part of the Couchfire Collective, a group of 10 artists committed to organizing event and contributing to the local art scene. Boryana's piece, 35 Leaves a Minute, Boryana uses digital photography with representational painting to construct a sense of time, space and narrative.
