Community Arts Partnership Awards

The Greater Columbus Arts Council’s Community Arts Partnership awards, now in their 27th year, recognize the community’s crucial contributions to the arts including financial support, non-cash contributions, volunteer involvement and board participation.Strong partnerships between businesses, community members and the arts stimulate economic growth, promote the city’s revitalization, encourage tourism and enhance Columbus’ cultural image.The arts give life to the city. SAVE THE DATE! October 14, Noon-1:30 p.m.

On October 14, GCAC will host civic, corporate and arts leaders for a luncheon, keynote speaker and presentation of the 2010 Community Arts Partnership awards, which will recognize three business and three individuals for outstanding support of local arts in the past year. Award categories include: Small Business, Medium Business, Large Business, Arts Educator, Emerging Arts Leader and Arts Partner.

GCAC will also present the annual Artistic Excellence Award, which carries a $10,000 prize, to a local arts organization that has demonstrated risk, innovation and artistic excellence within the past year and the 2nd Annual Raymond J. Hanley Fellowship.

Proceeds from this event will benefit GCAC’s educational programming for children, including our Art in the House and Artists-in-Schools programs.

Artistic Excellence Award Nominations

For the first time, GCAC is allowing arts organizations to self-nominate for the annual Artistic Excellence Award.  Click here for the guidelines and nomination form.  The deadline for nominations is Monday, August 2.
