"100% Pure Corn" Traditional folk artist Adele Browne tells Appalachian folktales because "the old stories that came across the ocean so long ago were changed by our pioneer ancestors; infused with wit and humor that is uniquely American. Whenever I trace one of these adventures to see how it started out, somehow the mountain version is always closer to my heart. It's the folks gathered 'round that bring a tale to life, so there's got to be a corny refrain or a musical catch phrase for a chorus of voices, so each telling is group experience."
The gold star indicates this artist has participated in at least one professional development workshop concerning the alignment of their planned arts activities with state of Ohio content standards in arts and other academic subject areas.
