PHOTO SUBMISSION GUIDELINES AND RULES

We're looking for your best photos from the 2010 Columbus Arts Festival for our 2nd annual Columbus Arts Festival Photo Contest! Photos must be from this year’s event, so come to the Festival ready to capture the perfect shot! Join the Columbus Arts Festival's Flickr group and contribute your best shot for consideration by our official juror, acclaimed local photographer, Will Shively.

One winner will be chosen. The contest winner will receive a $50 gift certificate from Midwest Photo Exchange, super cool Festival goodies and a chance to have your photo used in future promotions for the Festival! Need Help? E-mail us at info@gcac.org.

Deadline: Wednesday, June 30, 2010. The winner will be announced on July 7, 2010.

Details: Only two (2) images may be submitted by each contestant - so please choose carefully!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Step One: Join Flickr
We’re using Flickr to run the contest. If you don't have a Flickr account already, you’ll need to open one. It’s free and takes only minutes to set up. Once your account is set up, the search function at the top right side of the page allows you to search under “groups.” Search for “Columbus Arts Festival” – then join our group.

Step Two: Upload
Upload your two (2) favorite Columbus Arts Festival photos to your Flickr account. Under privacy options, choose “public.” We encourage you to put your name and hometown in the photo title. And we’d love to get a little more information about the background/story behind the photo in the “description” field. Please include your e-mail address in the description so that we can contact you about the contest results. For more help: http://www.flickr.com/help/groups/.

Step Three: Tag Photo 
You’ll need to add this tag to your photo to be considered for the contest: CAFcontest10. You’ll see the “add a tag” option to the right of your photo. This tag will allow us to sort which photos being posted by group members are for the contest. 

Step Four: Send Photo to Group
In Flickr, click on the two (2) photos you'd like to submit. Above the photo is a link to “Send to Group.” Open that link and you should see a list of groups you belong to. Select “Columbus Arts Festival.” A message will appear that your photo has been added. Click “OK.”

RULES AND INFORMATION

• Images must be from the 2010 Columbus Arts Festival, subject of your choice. Photos only - no videos, please.
• You must be the creator of any image you submit.
• You may submit only two (2) images.
• All ages are eligible to participate.
• We may use the images in promoting future Columbus Arts Festivals, but we'll always credit the photographer.
• In the event that your photo is selected as a winner, you agree to be contacted through Flickr mail.
• You agree to abide by all Flickr site guidelines.
• Have fun raising awareness of arts and culture in Columbus!
