Arts Festival Award Winners

Award winners were chosen by an on-site panel of local arts experts. All award winners, in addition to receiving a cash prize, will be invited to participate in next year's Festival. (Click on the photos for a link to the artists' Web sites.)

Additionaly, 3D Mixed Media artist Frank Saggus, from Colbert, Ga., was the recipient of the SWACO Trash to Treasure award. Christian won $500 as part of the award, given to an artist who uses recycled material in his or her work.

All winners, as well as the other artists scoring in the top 20 percent, are invited to return to the 2008 Columbus Arts Festival and will not have to participate in the competitive jurying process. Over 1200 artists from across North America and Canada compete for 300 booths at the Columbus Arts Festival, earning the festival its reputation as one of the premiere fine art and fine craft festivals in the country.
