The Columbus Arts Festival is located in the heart of the Discovery District on the east side of Columbus' downtown. The Festival site is surrounded by Columbus State Community College, the Columbus College of Art and Design and the Columbus Museum of Art. Go to the 2008 festival map for more information.
Parking at the festival is PLENTIFUL! Not only are there numerous metered spaces on surrounding city streets; Columbus State Community College, St. Paul's A.M.E., Capital University and many other area institutions will have parking available.
Columbus' downtown boasts a wide collection of fun places to eat, shop and experience the arts in all forms. Columbus' Theatre District, including the Ohio Theatre, Palace Theatre, Southern Theatre and the Vern Riffe Theatre offers live dance, symphonic music, jazz, theatre, opera and touring national and international companies of artists and performers. Visual arts fans can head straight down High Street to the Short North Arts District, which offers galleries on every block. The Arena District, also on High Street, features fine dining options and the Arena Grand movie theatre. The Discovery District also has plenty of options. Go to the Discovery District Web site for more.
The Columbus Arts Festival is FREE! No public money funds this event, so we hope you'll patronize our artists and food vendors while you visit.
Great question. Here's a link to the sites with the most info: Experience Columbus or ColumbusArts.com.
