ARTIST APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE FOR 2010 COLUMBUS ARTS FESTIVAL

Columbus, Ohio – The Columbus Arts Festival presented by Time Warner Cable is accepting visual artist applications for the 2010 event, which will take place June 4-6 in the Discovery District downtown.

The Festival will accept online applications from artists in 15 types of artistic media for through Wed., Jan. 6.

To apply, visit www.gcac.org/fest and click on the “Apply” link on the left side of the screen. Applicants can also go directly towww.zapplication.org to apply through our online system, ZAPP™, a universal application that allows artists to submit and manage materials for hundreds of participating arts shows, festivals and fairs.

In 2010, the Columbus Arts Festival, produced by the Greater Columbus Arts Council, will celebrate its 49th year of bringing the best in fine art and fine craft to Columbus. The Festival hosts approximately 230 national and international artists each year, chosen by a jury from more than 1,000 applications. Gourmet food and beverages, hands-on art activities for the entire family, exhibitions of local student artwork and music and spoken word performances round out Columbus’ favorite outdoor summer event.
