in Press Releases March 28, 2014 2 min read

Columbus, Ohio – The Greater Columbus Arts Council (Arts Council) in collaboration with PromoWest Productions has announced a call for entries for an annual art exhibit to feature artists, designers and photographers residing in Franklin County.

The theme for the 2014 exhibition will be PromoWest Productions 30th Anniversary Celebration and the selected pieces will become part of the company’s commemorative portfolio. Work should celebrate the history of PromoWest and its Columbus venues (Newport Music Hall, Polaris Amphitheater, The LC Pavillion, The Basement and the A&R Music Bar) and can depict artists, concerts and/or the venues themselves.

A review committee of community and Arena District business representatives will select up to 20 artists for public voting on the project website. The public will select four finalists whose work will be displayed on the south side of A&R Music Bar in the Arena District. The four selected artists from the public vote each will be paid a $500 honorarium by the Arts Council.

Entrants must be residents of Franklin County.  Any artist and /or photographer, or team of artists and/or photographers or designers is eligible.  Only one design per artist/team is allowed, and previous PromoWest concert or venue posters are NOT eligible for submission. Applicants must register and apply online by May 15, 2014 at 5 p.m. at www.promowestartexhibit.com.
