Alexis Perrone
Festival Director

Alexis Perrone is the Director for the Columbus Arts Festival, leading the team of volunteers, staff members and community partners that come together to create a weekend-long celebration of arts every June.  The Columbus Arts Festival is Columbus’ welcome-to-summer event, pairing the finest artists around the country with entertainment, activities for all ages and great food on the city’s stunning downtown riverfront.

Prior to coming to the GCAC team, she served as the assistant director of community engagement at WOSU Public Media, developing and implementing events in the organization’s new building in the University District. Prior to her time at WOSU, Perrone worked as a development manager for the Parkinson’s Foundation’s Great Lakes Chapter, and as the senior visitor experience manager at Experience Columbus.

In addition to her work experience, Alexis has also been an active member of the arts in Columbus.  She served on the board for Wild Goose Creative for many years and developed several programs there including a 25-hour reading of Moby Dick along with an accompanying art show and the Four Horsewomen of the Apocalypse story telling series. She also served on the board for the Independents’ Day festival and lead the festival as captain in 2013. Additionally, she also assists with the Sgt. Peppercorn’s Beatles Marathon music event.

Alexis is a graduate of the Recording Workshop and Kent State University. In addition to her volunteer work in the arts, she is also involved in animal rescue.  She can often be found at Taco Tuesday at Seventh Son Brewery or watching a movie at Studio 35. Alexis resides in Clintonville with her partner and several furry friends
