From Formation to Murmuration

Daniel King

Daniel J. King, is an artist, educator and making lens-based work with a tendency toward the idiosyncratic human relationship to place, geography, and representation. King has exhibited print and digital photographs, moving images (film, video, expanded cinema), books, sculptural objects, and interactive mail-art projects in museums, galleries, film festivals and art spaces.

His work explores the visual and conceptual possibilities that exist in the process of experiencing place in all its complexity, recognizing the mediation that defines our relationship to place and the anxiety of the photographic image and related texts. King is a veteran of the US Air Force, and is interested in creative practices employed as a means of generating agency and inquiry in the lives of those connected to the military experience.
