An interview with Vanessa L. German, one of the subjects of The Huffington Post’s State of the Art series. German, who grew up sculpting and making her own toys, is using found objects to build “power dolls.” She’s building an art community in her home, encouraging and supporting others to do similar work by opening an “Art House” in a foreclosed home that neighborhood children can use.
