Artist Information

Alan Crockett is an Emeritus Professor at Ohio State University, living and working in New York City, Happy Camp, California, and Columbus, Ohio. He earned his BFA in 1973 and MFA in 1975 from San Francisco Art institute. Crockett has been awarded six Ohio Arts Council Fellowships, three Greater Columbus Arts Council Fellowships, a National Endowment for the Arts, a Ford Foundation grant, and residency fellowships at the Marie Walsh Sharpe Foundation, New York City and Dresden Germany.

His work has been widely exhibited in galleries, universities and museums in the States and internationally, and featured in publications including: Ripple Effect, Water Stories, Poems, Paintings, Prose, Photographs; Contemporary Artists; Artists to Artists; Art Beyond Categories; and Gorky’s Granddaughter.
