Artist Information

Mark Fohl fondly describes himself as “the dinosaur that still shoots film”. Much of his exhibition work is with film in formats such as 35mm, medium and large format, and pinhole, plastic, and panorama cameras. He develops his own film in a dark room. Fohl’s favorite subjects are travel and cities like Dresden and Columbus. He has visited Dresden a few times since 2005 and has remained in touch with exchange artists, from both cities. He is active in the Dresden Sister City group in Columbus.

“I really enjoyed my experience there, and loved all the art. I also made some lifelong friends with whom I am still in touch. I go back as often as possible.”
