Description
Cultural festivals with a primary focus on presenting the arts (including dance, fashion, film, literary, music, theatre, and visual arts) that present cultural heritage traditions and primarily reach immigrant, refugee, and New American audiences, may make an annual request for Cultural Festival Funding of $3,000 from GCAC. Applicants who would like to be considered for more than $3,000 should apply for Project Support, which follows a scored, competitive funding process.
Applicants may receive EITHER Project Support OR Cultural Festival Funding; organizations cannot receive both awards in the same calendar year.
Eligibility
Pre-existing cultural festivals (i.e. must have taken place at least once before – newly created festival are not eligible).

How to Apply
Requests for funding must be received no later than 30 days prior to the festival’s start date and are subject to approval based on eligibility and available funding. Please note that food & beverage festivals are not eligible.
To request festival funding of $3,000, please email Khaila Carr at kcarr@gcac.org with the following information:
- Festival name
- Festival date
- Festival location
- Short history of festival
- Festival website and/or social media, if available
- Festival flyer and/or promotional materials, if available
- Primary Leader’s name, email address, and phone number
