Born in Santa Fe, Colombia, D A Z A utilized graffiti to express his political activism throughout his childhood. His passion for art has always been persistent throughout his own life. After graduating as a marketing engineer, he immigrated to New York in 1999, and discovered that political cartoons were a way to express life and his journey to his new world. D A Z A has been published by multiple newspapers and magazines. When he moved to Columbus, he used art as an escape from being a political cartoonist. His nostalgia of the vibrant tropics is represented throughout his art. His goal is to always use recycled materials in order to be environmentally friendly. His art shows its beauty through discovery and exploring the beauty of the world.
