2016 Community Arts Partnership Award Nominees and Winners

The Greater Columbus Arts Council’s Community Arts Partnership (CAP) awards program recognizes the community’s crucial contributions to the arts including financial support, non-cash contributions, volunteer involvement and board participation. Strong partnerships between businesses, community members and the arts stimulate economic growth, promote the city’s revitalization, encourage tourism and enhance Columbus’ cultural image and give life to the city.

Nominees and individual winners were announced in early September. The 2015 business award winners were announced at the CAP annual luncheon on Oct. 15, 2015.

In addition to honoring the CAP winners at the luncheon, the Arts Council presented the Columbus Makes Art Excellence Awards. Given annually to arts organizations that demonstrate innovation, risk and artistic excellence in a performance, exhibition or program, the awards recognize an organization with a budget of $1 million or more and an organization of less than $1 million each with a $10,000 award. Nominees for the Columbus Makes Art Award were chosen by Arts Council staff members, and the winner was chosen by the board and announced at the event.
