Cinema Columbus 2024 is currently accepting submissions in the following categories:
Narrative Feature – A narrative, animated, or experimental film 41 minutes or more in length
Documentary Feature – A documentary film 41 minutes or more in length
Narrative Short – A narrative, animated, or experimental film 40 minutes or less in length
Documentary Short – A documentary film 40 minutes or less in length

Filmmakers can enter their films and pay the corresponding entry fee through filmfreeway.com/CinemaColumbus.
Films with 50 percent or more footage shot in Ohio are eligible to submit under a reduced Local entry fee.

Submission deadlines are as follows:
Early-bird submission: through October 8
Regular submission: October 9 – November 5
Late submission: November 6 – December 3
Extended submission: December 4 - December 31

Submissions will be screened and judged by a Local panel of film experts, and films selected to participate in Cinema Columbus 2024 will be notified on or before February 1, 2024.

The Columbus Cultural Arts Center (CAC) is issuing a call to artists and arts organizations for exhibition proposals for the 2023-2024 season of its Main Gallery. The Main Gallery is one of the finest exhibition spaces in central Ohio, encompassing over 3200 sq. ft. of display space.

Acceptance of art for exhibition is through a juried process. Entry is free.

The Center for Contemporary Printmaking (CCP) Residency Program offers Artists-in-Residence the unique opportunity to live and work inside the recently remodeled Helen Frankenthaler Printmaking Cottage. Within this space artists can produce a body of work in a supportive atmosphere that fosters creative growth and development, for traditional as well as innovative printmaking techniques.

The intention of the residency is to offer artists one to two weeks of uninterrupted, 24/7 time and privacy in a well-equipped studio with onsite living accommodations. This residency has proven to be an ideal opportunity for experimentation and collaboration. Artists can add to their work practice, explore new mediums, create an edition, or otherwise advance their printmaking skills. CCP strives to advance outcomes from the residency that stimulate original and inventive work that the artist might not otherwise have attempted absent these amenities.

One of the goals of our residency programs, whether Professional Development or Self-funded, is engaging our local community in an exchange of ideas and techniques. Artists-in-residence will have the opportunity to conduct a studio talk or workshop for the Norwalk community and greater New York metropolitan area. CCP will work with the artist to schedule and promote the additional programming through various outreach methods, including social media, to ensure a broad audience.

Urban Arts Space is seeking projects for 2024 to showcase at our downtown gallery at 50 W Town Street, Hopkins Hall Gallery on Ohio State campus, or UAS Online. Projects could include gallery exhibitions, performances, audience participatory work, discussions, research demos, and more.

While solo proposals will be considered, applicants are encouraged to collaborate and emphasize ideas that foster conversations representing diverse perspectives.

This opportunity is available to applicants who are currently studying, living, or working in the state of Ohio.

CICA Museum invites artists worldwide to participate in the CICA Art Studio Program Fall 2024. The program will be held at the CICA Museum in Fall 2024 and current available months are June to December 2024. The studio space (around 44m2) will be assigned to each artist for one month and the artist will have a solo show at the assigned space for 1-2 weeks during the term depending on the artist’s preference. The artist may collaborate with CICA Museum and/or CICA Kids Lab to hold workshops or performances. The artist will be featured in the e-book, “CICA Art Now 2025.” The print edition will be available by order.

*Term and Conditions:
The studio space (around 44m2) will be assigned to each artist for one month at the CICA Museum between June and December 2024. The call for entries of the thirteenth edition of Prisma Art Prize, an international art award born to promote emerging painters and visual artist, is now open for submissions. As our name and logo suggest, we want to be a prism that refracts all the possible outcomes of the painting process: we aim to collect and exhibit a selection of works of art that is inclusive, diverse and representative of the possibilities that the medium of painting offers to artists.

SCULPTURE SPACE in Utica, New York offers two-month residencies for sculpture artists from February to November 2024. You'll have access to a 5,500 sq. ft. shared studio with specialized equipment, along with six semi-private studios. Our on-site Studio Manager provides ongoing assistance, and the Executive Director can help with special requests. Basic English communication skills are required.

Each residency consists of five to six artists during four two-month periods: February/March, April/May, July/August, and October/November.
You're expected to stay for the full two months. Housing is provided a block away in a renovated multi-level home with private bedrooms, washer/dryer, TV, internet, shared living space, and kitchen. You'll be responsible for your materials, specialized tools, and food.

Since 1976, Sculpture Space has supported over 650 national and international artists, fostering collaboration, dialogue, and creative connections. We host Open Studio receptions and welcome visits from artists, curators, and writers. A Review Committee selects artists based on the quality, originality, and potential of their work and proposed projects. The current stipend for this residency is $750 USD, with the possibility of an increase depending on additional funding.

Designing Local is seeking an Arts Administrator or Urban Planner who will assist in all aspects of arts and culture planning efforts and public art project administration while working on a collaborative team to deliver excellent plans and processes to clients.

The Public Art Coordinator may serve as lead project manager on select projects.
