2015 Greater Columbus Arts Council Public Forum: Celebrating Innovation and Raising Awareness in the Arts

Columbus, Ohio – Join us for the Greater Columbus Arts Council’s Annual Public Forum for fast-paced, dynamic presentations highlighting innovation and visibility efforts in the Columbus creative sector. Our speakers will explore the future of the Columbus film industry, as well as innovations in design, marketing and partnerships that will capture the attention of people locally, regionally and nationally in 2015.  The Public Forum is FREE to attend and will take place on Thursday, February 12 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Gateway Film Center, South Campus Gateway, 1550 N. High St.

The Arts Council’s Public Forum is for anyone interested in connecting with artists and arts professionals and learning more about the exciting future of the creative sector in Columbus.

• We’re ready for our close up!  The growing role of film in the Columbus economy and what’s up next on our “shot list.”  Speaker: Len Hartman, President and CEO, Hartland Entertainment
• There Go My Preteen Years by Alexis McCrimmon, Arts Council Media Fellowship recipient
• Copper Clad: The secret behind the Columbus Museum of Art’s new eye-catching green exterior and much more, including a sneak-preview photo tour!  Speakers Nannette Maciejunes, Executive Director, Columbus Museum of Art, and Michael Bongiorno, Principal, DesignGroup
• Kings, Queens and In-betweens Trailer, a film by Gabrielle Burton
• Columbus Makes Art/Art Makes Columbus and it’s all about the artists! The first public presentation of the new arts marketing campaign to launch in summer 2015. Speaker: Bill Faust, Managing Partner, Ologie

All Forum attendees will receive a ticket to the premiere of Mr. Turner that evening at 8 p.m. Nominated for four  Academy Awards Mr. Turner is a rollicking exploration of the last quarter century of the great, if eccentric, British painter J.M.W. Turner’s life.

Parking is available in the Gateway Garage accessible from 10^th and 11^th Avenues.  Bring your ticket inside for $1 validation at the Film Center’s guest services counter.
