COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC) is excited to welcome Ariel Peguero as an associate for the Grants & Community Engagement department.
Ariel Peguero (he/him) is a Dominican-American artist who holds a BFA in advertising and graphic design from Columbus College of Art & Design, with a minor in fine arts. Peguero is active in the Columbus arts community as a muralist and graphic designer who often blends technology with analogous art-making methods, including work with augmented reality in murals, workshops and gallery experiences.
“Ariel is a welcome addition to an already robust department,” said Tom Katzenmeyer, president and CEO of GCAC. “As our granting programs continue to grow, we need his experience, work ethic and expertise in helping artists get the most out of our funding opportunities.”
Peguero will manage the Funds for Artists grants and the Dresden Artist Exchange program, as well as customer service and administrative functions for the Grants & Community Engagement department.
