COLUMBUS ARTS FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES ONLINE PHOTO CONTEST

Columbus, Ohio – Submit your favorite Columbus Arts Festival photo online and win prizes!

The Greater Columbus Arts Council, which produces the Columbus Arts Festival presented by Time Warner Cable, is looking for photos that represent your best memories of the event for the first annual Columbus Arts Festival Photo Contest.

Photos can be from any year, including the 2009 event June 5-7 in the Discovery District, surrounded by the Columbus College of Art & Design, Columbus State Community College and the Columbus Museum of Art. To submit a photo, join the Columbus Arts Festival’s Flickr group (www.flickr.com) and contribute your best shot for consideration by a panel of jurors. Three winners will be chosen. All winners will receive Festival merchandise, gift certificates and a chance to have their photo used in future promotions, with photographer credit.

The deadline for submitting photos is Sat., Jun. 6. Winners will be announced during the last day of the Festival on Sun., Jun. 7 in the afternoon. Dates and Times for the Columbus Arts Festival: The three-day Festival will be held June 5-7. Hours will be 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Jun. 5 and 6 (Fri. & Sat.), and 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Jun. 7 (Sun.).

How to get there: Parking is plentiful, and the Festival is easy to get to. Columbus’ downtown offers cheap, accessible meter parking, dozens of above ground lots and parking garages close by – all inexpensive and within walking distance of the Festival.
