COLUMBUS ARTS FESTIVAL SEEKS COORDINATING COMMITTEE VOLUNTEERS

Columbus, Ohio – The Columbus Arts Festival is seeking volunteers to serve on the 2015 Coordinating Committee.  The Columbus Arts Festival will take place June 12, 13 & 14, 2015.  The Coordinating Committee assists with several aspects of planning and execution of this annual event, produced by the Greater Columbus Arts Council.

Coordinating Committee volunteers spend up to 100 hours working on the Festival from November through June, but commitment varies by committee. Volunteers also are largely responsible for the on-site execution of the event, requiring a significant time commitment the weekend of the Festival.

Experience in special events or with the arts is not necessary, but energy and the ability to work as part of a team are essential. These are working committees and require a strong personal commitment. Availability during the Festival dates is required.

Individuals interested in being considered for a Coordinating Committee position should send a resume and cover letter to: Scott Huntley, Columbus Arts Festival Director, 100 E. Broad Street, Suite 2250, Columbus, OH 43215 or via e-mail to shuntley@gcac.org. Deadline for application is Monday, November 3.  Prospective committee members will be contacted for an interview.

The Columbus Arts Festival is consistently ranked nationally as one of the country’s best. The 2015 Festival will incorporate new and fun interactive features, feature fine art and fine craft from approximately 280 nationally acclaimed artists, along with continuous live entertainment, gourmet food and hands-on art activities for all ages.
