Greater Columbus Arts Council and PromoWest Productions Announce Call for Entries for Annual Art Exhibition

in Press Releases February 24, 2020 2 min read

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Greater Columbus Arts Council (Arts Council) in collaboration with PromoWest Productions has announced a call for entries for the annual PromoWest Art Exhibition to feature artists, designers and photographers residing in Franklin County.

This annual exhibition, a partnership between PromoWest and the Greater Columbus Arts Council’s Art Makes Columbus/Columbus Make Art effort, celebrates the work of the city’s amazing artists. No other city has this unique collection of creative people. Musicians, painters, sculptors, glass blowers, designers, actors, writers—any creative endeavor that can be thought of is pursued in Columbus. We encourage artists to spotlight that passion for creativity through their submission. Four artists’ work will be selected and digitally produced on 5’ x 8’ full color panels.

A review committee of community and Arena District business representatives will select up to 10 artists for public voting on the project website. The public will select four finalists whose work will be displayed on the south side of A&R Music Bar in the Arena District. The four selected artists from the public vote each will be paid a $500 honorarium by the Arts Council.

Entrants must be residents of Franklin County. Any artist and/or photographer, or team of artists and/or photographers or designers is eligible. Only one design per artist/team is allowed, and previous PromoWest concert or venue posters are NOT eligible for submission. Applicants must register and apply online by March 23, 2020 at 5 p.m. at www.promowestartexhibit.com.
