GREATER COLUMBUS ARTS COUNCIL LAUNCHES NEW ARTIST DIRECTORY ON COLUMBUSARTS.COM

in Press Releases February 25, 2011 1 min read

Columbus, Ohio – The Greater Columbus Arts Council’s new Artist Directory will go live Wednesday, March 2 on ColumbusArts.com, GCAC’s free online calendar of arts and cultural events in Ohio. More than 30,000 people visit ColumbusArts.com each month to find visual arts, dance, theatre, music, arts workshops and other cultural events.

The Directory allows visual, performing and literary artists to create a profile and portfolio to showcase their work. Artists can upload images, PDFs, video and sound files. It also enables site visitors to search for and connect with artists, making it easier for artists and art enthusiasts to get in touch with one another. Besides discipline, bio/statement, upcoming events and exhibitions, artists can indicate if they are corporate loan friendly, and whether they offer payment plans, demonstrations and classes. GCAC will promote the registry to art galleries, museums, literary centers, venues and other places that look for artists for programming.

Accompanying the launch of the Artist Directory is the makeover of ColumbusArts.com. The freshly redesigned website features a more user-friendly and vibrant interface, space for news features and improved social media connections.

Visit ColumbusArts.com today to sign up for or explore the Artist Directory and check out the Web site’s new design.
