in Press Releases September 25, 2020 1 min read

COLUMBUS, Ohio — On Thursday, Oct. 1 from noon to 1 p.m., the Greater Columbus Arts Council will host its annual Public Forum as a virtual brown bag lunch.

During the forum, Arts Council President & CEO Tom Katzenmeyer and Board Chair Michael Bongiorno will discuss how the Arts Council and the arts community have pivoted during the 2020 pandemic and protests. The Arts Council is also pleased to welcome Columbus City Council Member Shayla Favor as a guest speaker.

The event will be held over the lunch hour in a Zoom webinar format, so attendees are welcomed to enjoy lunch while listening to the forum. After the formal presentation, guests will be invited to join the conversation and share their ideas around how the arts can support community resiliency, social reform and a brighter future for everyone. The conversation will help the Arts Council navigate the coming months and guide how it best serves Columbus artists, cultural organizations and the community.

The event is free to attend; registration is required to get your unique Zoom link. Registration by Sept. 30 through this Zoom link is appreciated.

The Arts Council thanks WOSU Public Media for its presentation support of the online forum.
