COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Inn at Honey Run is partnering with the Greater Columbus Arts Council (Arts Council) to select up to three central Ohio artists to create site-specific installations for the Holmes County Open Air Art Museum (OAAM).
“Jason and his team at the Inn at Honey Run create compelling outdoor installations for the Open Air Art Museum. Because they were specifically interested in featuring local artists, they came to us to help connect them with the best artists in central Ohio,” said Jami Goldstein, vice president of Marketing, Communications and Events for the Arts Council. “Our mission is to be an advocate for the local arts, so anytime we can offer such an incredible opportunity to the artists we partner with on a daily basis, it’s a win for us and the arts community.”
The Open Air Art Museum is set on 56 acres of rolling landscape on the Inn at Honey Run property and features a range of works by local and regional artists.
The Inn at Honey Run team is encouraging any artists in Franklin County and surrounding counties who are sculptors, designers, photographers and imaginative thinkers to submit their ideas. The process for applying is easy:
- Register online at www.innathoneyrun.com/gcac.
- Answer all required questions.
- Attach at least one image file or link to image file(s) of the installation concept.
The RFP process is open until April 30. The applications will be reviewed by a panel from the Inn at Honey Run and the Arts Council. The panel will make its final selections by May 31.
