Columbus, Ohio – On Monday, September 19, Les Wexner, Chairman CEO Limited Brands, Rocco Landesman, Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman and Doug Kridler, President and CEO of the Columbus Foundation will gather for a discussion entitled,A Way Forward: Arts and Economic Development. The panel will take place at 4 p.m. at the Wexner Center for the Arts’ Mershon Auditorium. The panel is free and open to everyone.
This will be an opportunity for the community to hear a provocative conversation on the value of the creative sector in building attractive and competitive cities. Questions posed by moderator Julie Henahan, Executive Director of the Ohio Arts Council, will probe the panelists’ views on the importance of the arts to economic development and the opportunities for growth and stability of the arts going forward.
This panel represents a unique and important opportunity for the arts and creative sector to show its enthusiasm for the prioritization of the arts in the mainstream planning of the future of Columbus.
The panel is presented by Charlotte P. Kessler, The Columbus Partnership and the Greater Columbus Arts Council, and hosted by the Wexner Center for the Arts.

A reception at the Wexner Center will follow the panel discussion. Normally closed on Mondays, the Wexner Center will be open and free on Monday, September 19 from 3-6 p.m. for the event.
