Are you or someone you know a working artist at least 18 years of age with an idea for an art project or arts event to positively impact your Columbus neighborhood? In 2023, applications will be accepted from ALL neighborhoods – additionally, one neighborhood will be featured each round.

Financial Wellness for Artists
Join us as we learn about building healthy financial habits as creatives.
As part of this workshop, we will review a framework for managing income and expenses, learn key metrics necessary to build financial wealth, describe ways of diversifying income to meet expense needs, and specify next steps for future planning.

Retirement Planning for Artists
This workshop will introduce some year-end planning tips so you can set aside a bit of funds for your future… and take advantage of the related tax benefits. We will list types of retirement plans available to self-employed creative individuals, estimate total to save per year for retirement, and define basic retirement and investment vocabulary terms.

Join financial expert Elaine Grogan Luttrull of Minerva Financial Arts as she reviews the U.S. Federal tax basics every artist and creative entrepreneur should know. She will review common deductions, which records to retain for tax purposes and effective systems for tracking expenses and income. She will also review the general Federal income tax landscape and updates for 2023.
New in 2023 Mural Assistance – Organizations Guidelines
Are you a 501c3 nonprofit organization (not just arts) that is planning an exterior mural?
This workshop will provide information on the Mural opportunity for ORGANIZATIONS. This competitive grant provides partial funding for the creation of exterior murals by local artists where a specific wall is identified, maintenance is planned and there is a written contract between artist(s) and commissioning organization.

Project Support Grant Guidelines
This workshop is recommended for anyone considering applying for a Project Support grant in 2023. Whether you’re a seasoned grantee or looking for funding for your first project, this workshop is worth the viewing. We’ll go through category and funding changes, timelines, and the online application process.

Film Columbus and Cleveland-based Gravitas Ventures look at Columbus-based filmmaker Jon Sherman’s latest project, They/Them/Us, and uses it as a case study for how distribution works in the current environment. Bill Guentzler from Gravitas Ventures will be joining as the expert in distribution. Bill is currently the Senior Director of Acquisitions of Gravitas.
Distribution can be implemented in what seems like a million different ways. Jon will talk about how he did it and why he decided to go with Gravitas for the distribution of his feature film.
