Crisis Communications – Planning for the Worst

June 8th, 2021

It’s hard to watch the news these days and not be confronted with a crisis somewhere. We always hope the worst won’t happen at our own organization or event but what if it does? A crisis can take many forms: natural disaster, technologic or financial breach, personnel issue, social media misstep and more. Do you know what immediate steps to take in a crisis?  What qualities make the best spokesperson in a crisis? (Hint: it’s NOT always the boss or the smartest person in the room.)

If you’ve ever wondered if you could possibly be prepared if disaster strikes, you’ll sleep better after participating in this virtual session on crisis communication planning. Led by Dan Williamson, Senior Vice President at Paul Werth Associates, and using real world examples, the session will look at the broad range of potential crises that organizations face today and include ample time for questions and discussion.
