Grant Workshop: Big Ideas

This workshop will discuss GCAC’s Big Ideas grant which is intended to uplift artist ideas and projects that bring all art forms out into the community. We will explain the application process, who is eligible, what we do not fund and how awards are selected. This workshop will help you prepare for a compelling and successful submission. Special Topic Workshop: LGBTQ+ 101: Understanding the Basics & Serving the Community

  • Wednesday, September 22, 3:00-4:30pm

Facilitated by Equitas Health, this online introductory training will provide you with the knowledge, skills, and behaviors needed to best employ and serve members of the LGBTQ+ community. In addition, this session explains the myriad ways language can either fray or strengthen engagement among LGBTQ+ employees and the larger community, as well as how to be a better ally to/advocate for LGBTQ+ folks. Finally, this training also addresses best practices surrounding pronouns, names, and gender-inclusive language. There will be a live Q&A session with Equitas Health Julia Applegate at the conclusion of the session’s scheduled content.  REGISTER HERE.

You will learn about all things financial, from developing a pricing and budgeting strategy to building a record-keeping system, and so much more. This course includes an individual financial session and a follow-up check-in workshop in February.
