Aja Dandridge

ARTIST STATEMENT

My newest painting “Protect My Energy” features a nude woman lying in a field of grass, where one side is covered in darkness and the other in full bloom. The different grass patches represent the dual sides of her personality and how they coexist within her, in perfect harmony. She’s at peace with herself.

ARTIST BIO

Aja Dandridge is a self-taught visual artist living in Cleveland, OH. Consisting primarily of fictional acrylic portraits and landscapes, Aja’s work showcases positive and strong portrayals of Black women against fantasy and mystical backdrops.
